Less than 5% of all dog owners know canine CPR, and even less feel confident to perform the abdominal thrust maneuver or external extraction technique on a choking dog, or know the early signs of life-threatening bloat. Our fully certified and insured trainers will teach you how to recognize and assess health situations, respond accordingly, and give you the confidence to help in any emergency.
If you are a dog-related business, your customers expect that you will have the knowledge and skills to help their dog in an emergency. Make sure you and your staff have the ability to be the first responder to any animal in your care.
Many of our trainers are also K9 police officers, protection dog trainers, and first responders - which is why we offer a specialized course for tactical working dogs, that includes emergency first aid training in areas these canines are exposed to - from tear gas and blistering agents to stabbing and narcotics exposure, stitching to sub-cutaneous fluid hydration, endotracheal intubation and loads more, we prepare you to help your K9 working dog in any situation.
Canine Health Canada donates a portion of all proceeds from our canine health and emergency first aid courses to a variety of canine-related charities, including the Animal Food Bank, Neds Wish, and more. SEPTEMBER we will be donating to the country of Morocco as our CEO Heather Davis heads over there Sept 14 for 3 weeks to help with earthquake relief.
Your decision to take a course will not only give you the knowledge and confidence to help your own dog in an emergency, but you can feel good knowing that you're also helping other others.
If you run a not for profit and would like to be considered for our donation list, please contact us!
